Synopsis:
“Images of crying children and deaths of immigrants disturb those who care about the ongoing human suffering of people on the border. Since 2018, activists around the nation have begun a rallying cry to Abolish ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), which has inspired politicians to take a stand to Abolish ICE. By following the life of Cinthya Martinez, raised by a single undocumented mother, and through the voices of undocumented activists, this film reveals the origins and the stakes of the Abolish ICE movement. Activists share why they dedicated their lives to “Shutdown Adelanto,” the largest immigrant detention center in the U.S. Abolish ICE centers the lives and voices of feminist and queer undocumented activists who have come out of the shadows to build a blossoming abolitionist movement.

Journey to the largest immigrant prison in California with feminist and queer undocumented Abolish ICE activists who share their stories as part of a blossoming abolitionist movement. “
